The main seminar presentation will be given by Dr Elda Nikolou-Walker, please see biography below, on the theme of ‘Legal Safeguarding for Work Based Learners in Creative Educational Models’.

Biography:

Dr Elda Nikolou-Walker joined Middlesex University in 2014. Elda is a Senior Lecturer in the Education Department where she holds both programme leadership and programme development responsibilities. She is also a co-Programme Leader for the Masters in Professional Practice, as well working with students from around the world in the Professional Doctorate Programme of the University, Elda is helping candidates to develop their own professional practice from sectors as diverse as Nursing, Teaching, Education & Health and Social Care. 


Earlier in her career Elda worked as a Senior Lecturer (Education), in the School of Education, Queen's University, Belfast, Northern Ireland.  Elda is constantly making  a significant contribution to the growing body of literature in the field of Work-Based Learning  and Professional Practice. Elda’s work focuses on theoretical models and approaches which assist in applying new insights and thinking to the vast array of work-based situations that might be encountered.
