Subject: POSTPONEMENT of UALL conference 2020
Diversity, identity and inclusion in Lifelong Learning:
Shaping a 2020 vision for mature student
The Foresight Centre, University of Liverpool
First of all, thank you for your interest and support in #UALL2020 and for submitting your abstracts.
I regret to have to inform you that, in view of the unprecedented challenges globally imposed by the covid-19 virus and in consideration of national and international advice relating to public health, the UALL Officers have reluctantly taken the decision to POSTPONE this year's conference.
This decision was taken in consultation with the host institution, the University of Liverpool, and mindful of the impact on international delegates and speakers. We are aware that this will cause disruption to your diary and plans and that it will be a great disappointment to you as it is to us but we are convinced that at the present time, this is the most prudent course of action to follow.
When will #UALL2020 take place?
The rescheduled conference will run from Wednesday 29th July to Friday 31st July. We are happy that we have been able to keep the venues, the Foresight Centre and the VGM museum - the venue for the formal dinner, and the Wednesday-Friday format.
We are keen to hear back from you as soon as possible to confirm whether you are able to present and/ or attend during these dates.
If you are unable to attend but would still like to present, please let me know as the venue does provide the option of skype presentations but I will need to know sooner rather than later so we can indicate in the programme.
If you have already booked on, I can confirm that your booking still stands.
Thank you again for your continued interest in the work of UALL and I look forward to seeing you later in the year.
Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience this decision will cause and thank you for your understanding.
Peter Neil, Chair of UALL
The Rev'd Canon Professor Peter Neil, Vice Chancellor of Bishop Grosseteste University
